HARLEY-DAVIDSON EUROPEAN BIKE WEEK RETURNS FOR 2021

Europe’s most iconic motorcycle festival attended by thousands of riders and Harley-Davidson fans

FAAK am SEE, Austria (September 13, 2021)The 2021 Harley-Davidson® European Bike Week® welcomed thousands of motorcycle riders from around Europe to Faaker See, Austria, a beautiful lake-side location, in the region of Carinthia (September 7-12.)

With COVID health and safety a priority, the event was adapted to become entirely outdoor and daytime only and included fully compliant safety checks for all individuals at entrances to the Harley-Davidson village. The event received huge praise from both riders and the local authorities, for returning following an enforced one year break due to the pandemic in 2020.

Kolja Rebstock, Regional Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa at Harley Davidson:
“It was a great pleasure to see riders back on the road together, participating in our event and bringing the unique rumble of Harley-Davidsons back to the beautiful region of Carinthia. The iconic Harley-Davidson festival was re-imagined to serve outdoor, daytime product-rich interactions and a focus on desirable lifestyle experiences, including the entire model year 2021 range of motorcylces.

I would like to thank all the riders who made the journey here, our partners in Carinthia and the local community for the amazing hospitality extended to us. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Faak for European Bike Week in 2022!”

Christian Poglitsch, Mayor of Finkenstein:
"European Bike Week at Lake Faak went very well - the atmosphere was brilliant! I also heard from Harley bikers that they were very happy that an event could take place at all under the given circumstances. All Harley bikers are already looking forward to next year's strong return of European Bike Week in its original form, which has already been announced, and I am of course looking forward to it myself. Finally, I would like to especially emphasise the really great discipline and the very positive attitude of our Harley-Davidson friends.”

Highlights of the event included:
The Harley-Davidson Expo Zone – designed with social distancing in mind – welcomed thousands of visitors every day, experiencing the latest Harley-Davidson motorcycles across all ranges, including Sport, Electric, Cruiser, Adventure Touring and Grand American Touring

The Pan America Experience, was designed to be a lifestyle oriented, exclusive two hour extended demo ride into the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountainous terrain, the first public opportunity for customers in the region to trial the features and benefits of this incredible new motorcycle, and was fully booked for the duration of the week

Sportster S - The very first public rides of the dynamic and powerful all-new Sportster S also exceeded expectations.

Serial-1 eBicycle experience delivered a first opportunity in Austria for customers to dynamically sample the 2021 range of Serial 1 eBicycles in a non-intimidating setting, and also to have the option to individually ride out on a lake-side route. The addition of this new experience was a busy and well received addition to European Bike Week.
