EUROPEAN BIKE WEEK TO CELEBRATE HARLEY-DAVIDSON LEGEND WILLIE G. DAVIDSON

Harley-Davidson product showcases, eclectic music concerts, drone shows, guided tours and other highlights to look forward to at the upcoming European Bike Week 2024 in Faak am See

VIENNA, AUSTRIA (07.08.2024) - The European Bike Week® will take place from 3 to 8 September 2024. In 2023, Harley-Davidson celebrated 25 years of this flagship event, which always proves to be a magnetic draw for riders and fans of motorcycling, live music and those who enjoy a festival atmosphere. With free admission, this is Europe’s largest free and open motorcycle festival, a daytime and evening celebration which runs almost around the clock and welcomes both local participants and those travelling in from far and wide.

This year, Harley-Davidson is celebrating the immeasurable contributions of designer, artist and legend Willie G. Davidson to Harley-Davidson and motorcycling culture with events taking place all around the world, and European Bike week is no exception. Willie G. Davidson will be honored through both imagery and activations throughout the festival, including showcasing a limited-edition apparel range and displaying some iconic motorcycles of his influence in the Classic Bike Display.

The 40,000 square metre Harley Village in Faak am See offers lots of fun and action. Taking central focus is the Harley-Davidson Expo featuring a range of the latest Model Year 2024 motorcycles, displaying the new era of touring performance, technology, and design with the all-new Street Glide® and Road Glide® models, which feature an updated Milwaukee-Eight® 117 V-Twin engine and are more powerful, lighter, and more dynamic than ever before. For those looking to shop, the latest Harley-Davidson apparel, official event merchandise, and parts and accessories will be available from authorised dealers.

In addition to motorcycle displays, customers looking for an adventure can head to the off-road zone, right at the heart of the European Bike Week site. The zone will host off-road experts from across Europe, who will be providing demonstrations, dynamic displays, rider tuition and in-depth off-road tutorials on the Pan America 1250 Special. This year, the Adventure Zone will be operated by our world class instructors; Mick Extance (UK), Ralf Wiesenfeller (Germany) and Marco Belli, (Italy), as well as demonstrations by H-D off-road ambassador and rally legend - Joan Pedrero (Spain).

For those looking to test ride the latest motorcycles, a wide range of 2024 Harley-Davidson Sport, Cruiser, Grand American Touring, and Adventure Touring motorcycles will be available at the H-D Demo zone. The Jumpstart riding simulator will also be available for all people without a riding licence who want to get a taste of what it feels like to ride. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, riders will have the opportunity conquer the most beautiful roads in Carinthia and neighbouring Slovenia on free tours guided by the H.O.G. Carinthia Chapter.

To kick off the festivities, we’re pleased to be welcoming The BossHoss to European Bike Week, with two special performances in the spectacular remains of Finkenstein Castle in Carinthia. On September 3 and 4, the popular band will perform country and rock hits in the unique mountainous, panoramic open-air setting, marking the beginning of the festival in style.

In addition, throughout the week there will be five evenings of entertainment running until after midnight, and with more than 100 vendors, food stalls and bars there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Across two stages, the Harley Bar and Saloon Bar will be providing an all-round experience with exciting sounds and lots of live action with 40 live band performance slots across the week. The headliner is the top-class band, “Stiletto” who will take the Harley Bar stage on Saturday, September 7. Entertainment continues throughout the week with the rhythmically swirling flames and powerful pyrotechnic effects at the fire shows and a drone show taking to the sky on Friday and Saturday night, providing breathtaking scenes between the music acts.

A free of charge ride-in Custom Bike Show sponsored by Metzeler Tyres will take place on Friday, September 6, and will be open to all homebuilt Harley-Davidson custom motorcycles, with entrants receiving exclusive goodies. The legendary Harley-Davidson Parade, sponsored by Dunlop, featuring thousands of all brands of motorcycles and regularly watched by thousands of local spectators, will take place on Saturday, September 7.

One thing is for sure, the European Bike Week will put a big grin on the faces of its guests and one visitor will be even happier as the winner of the Harley-Davidson prize motorcycle which will be given to a lucky raffle ticket holder.
